Jay Davidson worked with us for two years at BBC TWO and BBC FOUR as an Assistant Commissioner. During this time she played an instrumental role in the BBC Black and British season which broke new ground in its account of the black British experience. Jay is firmly tapped into the politics of her community but also has an eye to the needs of the broad popular audience. She has made significant contributions to the coverage of black cultural topics on BBC TWO and FOUR, especially in the area of music. Jay deserves wider exposure in the industry and could play a significant future leadership role in the advancement of the BAME debate.
