Overview and Experience
After completing a degree in both Fashion Comms and Law, Ruchika dabbled in various jobs but ultimately, she decided to go after her lifelong dream and pursue a career in TV.
With no contacts on the inside, it was a hard slog of cold calling, work experience and persistent networking before getting her first job as a researcher. For the next seven years she worked on variety of shows at a range of companies in both editorial and production management roles. But she never really found her niche.
It was only at the age of 30, she decided to start pitching ideas to the Head of Development whilst working as a co-ordinator at Thames. He was brave enough to hire her as a development researcher and she’s never looked back.

Today Ruchika is working as the Head of Development at Objekt Films. Over the last 12 months she has spearheaded their push into TV, digital and original online content. In 2020, she secured the company a spot as an official Snap publisher, launching the successful show StevoTheDadMan.
In 2021 she aims to create and launch more youth skewing content and formats across social media and digital channels and seeks to collaborate with fresh and diverse talent.
Her ultimate dream would be to build a portfolio of commissions; returnable Fact Ent formats that really resonate, entertain and make people think.

Ruchika “Triggs” Tagore joined Objekt earlier this year and has excelled in what has been some of the toughest circumstances – particularly for development!
Triggs has forged great relationships with all of the big UK broadcast commissioners. She has also spearheaded Objekt’s own brands/channels push. Culminating in Objekt becoming a Snapchat publishing partner and securing our first commission on Snapchat with StevoTheDadMan. The series has been an incredible success – recently surpassing 200k subscribers in less than 3 months.
2021 is set to be a very important year for Triggs and Objekt. With multiple ideas at various stages of development with a plethora of channels, I am very confident that a TV broadcast commission will happen in the very near future.
