Overview and Experience
I’m a highly experienced and versatile series producer/ showrunner and director on factual, docs and fact ent programming for UK and US broadcasters. I specialise in talent led projects having worked with everyone from actors Kirstie Alley and Keith Allen, to Mary Portas , Stacey Dooley, Davina McCall and The Hairy Bikers.
An ex music photographer, I started my television career in music and arts, then moved across to comedy before realising my real passion was for storytelling and documentaries. I’ve worked on everything from acclaimed travel food documentaries, Remarkable Places To Eat and A Cook Abroad -India, to single docs looking at the gender pay gap, hard hitting docs with Stacey Dooley about gang violence and open adoption to award winning formats, Wife Swap and World’s Strictest Parents. I’m creative and love a challenge and have launched many new series including Bake Off :Crème De Crème, and Unplugged Nation about off grid living in the American wilds.

Tara would be a perfect candidate for the Breakthrough Leaders’s scheme – she has a huge amount of talent as a TV creative, but the support and encouragement from a mentor and a coach as you are offering could really help her personal confidence in aiming really high and then getting there. She has everything going for her – and that extra boost of confidence and opportunity could be just the thing she needs to reach the absolute tops of the industry, where she could really add so much. I sincerely hope you will consider her as she would be a credit to the scheme.
